VISIT THE COUNTY

Prince Edward County is a peninsula surrounded by Lake Ontario and separated from the mainland by the Murray Canal. We’re a community of hamlets and villages with deep roots in farming and agriculture, industry, and trade through our waterways and unique natural and geological formations along our 800km of shoreline. You may have just found us, but we’ve welcomed visitors to our beaches for almost 200 years. Today ‘The County’ is home to artists, entrepreneurs, farmers, winemakers, chefs, and all sorts of creative and passionate folks looking to be a part of the rural renaissance that’s taking place here. We invite you to explore the many regions of The County and get to know the lovely places and people you’ll encounter along the way. We do have a reputation for capturing hearts and imaginations so you may find yourself visiting for the weekend but considering staying for a lifetime.
